Now summer bedding has come to an end it is time to replace them with plants that will bring a dash of colour and brightness throughout Autumn.
Plants such as silver leaved Santolina, Helichrysum, and Cinneraria, variegated Euonymous, Thymes and Sages intermingled with Viola, Pansy and Cyclamen can create stunning displays. These plants can also be underplanted with Crocus, Narcissi, dwarf Iris and Tulips to continue the display right through Spring. During Autumn and winter pots are best raised off the ground using pot feet to increase aeration and drainage to prevent roots being sat in water and rotting.
